Step-by-Step: How to Send Money Internationally From the UK With Your Debit Card

Follow these simple steps to complete your transfer securely using your UK debit card on AfriChange:

Step 1: Start Your Transfer

  • Download the AfriChange app here or log in to your account via the web or the app.
  • Tap the 'Send Money' button on your AfriChange app or web homepage.
  • Choose your destination country (where you’re sending the money, for example, Nigeria).
  • Enter the amount you want to send in GBP (the receiving currency equivalent will be auto-calculated based on the FX rates).
  • Choose your Purpose of Payment (e.g. family support, education, business).
  • Select ‘Pay with Card’ as your payment method.
  • Click ‘Continue’ to proceed.

Step 2: Add or Select Recipient & Confirm Transfer Details

  • Choose an existing recipient or click to add a new recipient.
  • For new recipients, input their correct information and tap ‘Add Recipient’.
  • Tap ‘Continue’ to proceed.
  • Carefully review your transfer summary, including amount, currency, and recipient details.
  • Click ‘Confirm’ once everything looks good.
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions for secure fraud protection to proceed.

Step 3: Enter Your Card Details & Complete Transfer

  • You’ll be redirected to a secure page to enter your debit card details.
  • Confirm the payment and authorise the transaction.
  • Tap ‘Continue to merchant’ to finalise the transfer.
